The Old Edwardian Wargames Club is the legal successor to the Johannesburg Wargames Club. Geoff Bowers and Colin Webster founded the Johannesburg Wargames Club in 1982. In 1989 the Johannesburg Wargames Club moved to the Old Edwardian Society at 11 Ninth Avenue, Lower Houghton.

The club meets every Sunday afternoon from 14H00 to 18H00 unless:

1. The meeting is on Christmas day, or

2. There is a national or provincial championship being played, we'll be there instead.

The 20th Old Edwardian Winter Championships shall be held at the Old Edwardian Society, 11 Ninth Avenue, Lower Houghton, Johannesburg on 20 & 21 August 2011.

The championships shall start on both days at 9H00. The following periods are to be played should sufficient entries be received.

FIFA 11 – eSports Sun from 9H00
TEKKEN – eSports Sat from 9H00

The Winter championships is far from being a conventional championship.

In the Ancients figure-gaming championships, each player works out an army of 600AP to the DBM version 3.2 rule set. However, a player may not use more than 400 AP in any one game. All losses, except generals, are carried over from one game to the next. Troops that rout off table count as lost. The championship is only played to four rounds. Other MSSA competition rules apply.

Standard MSSA rules apply for Backgammon, Checkers, Morabaraba, TEKKEN and FIFA 11.

The Championship is open to all players, even if they are not registered to MIND SPORTS SOUTH AFRICA.

eSports - R21.00
